Nicolò Nigrelli

Nicolò grew up as a cellist first under the guidance of Marco Zante at Conservatorio Statale Lucio Campiani, Mantua where he graduated in 2011. He then continued his studies with a Solo Interpretation Master in Mario De Secondi class at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Trossingen.
A great influence on Nigrelli artistic career was the figure of Tomasz Strahl, with whom he attended a Post Graduate Artistic Training at the Frederick Chopin University of Warsaw. He then attended master classes held by the masters Enrico Dindo, Raphael Wallfish, Roland Pidoux and then specialized in Paris with Romain Garioud at the Conservatory of L’Hay-les-Roses. Nicolò Nigrelli is active on international projects with various chamber music ensembles and orchestras. Among the stable collaborations are of particular interests the ones with: JFutura Youth Orchestra, Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, I Musici di Parma and Duo Alambic. Nigrelli is a polyhedral musician, interested in the sound research on his instrument, not strictly linked to a precise music genre. .is led him to cooperate with various musicians active not only in classical or contemporary music, such as the clarinetist Mauro Negri and violinist Cesare Carretta (Mantua Chamber Music Festival).
